We have recorded a historic milestone in sustainable development as Dr Dilesh Nguwaya, our Executive Chairman and CEO and H.E. Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding at the Presidential Palace in Belarus.

This solidifyies a strategic partnership between Geo Pomona Waste Management (Private) Limited, Zimbabwe, and the Government of the Republic of Belarus in Waste Management and Water Treatment.

This week in Belarus, we had a productive meeting at the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus, before we toured the Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ). At the plant, we engaged with the Director General and explored their vehicle assembly operations.

We also had insightful discussions with Safania Eco Technika Environmental Engineering, a company specialising in recycling equipment.

Our company is currently developing a state-of-the-art waste-to-energy plant at our Pomona site in a massive flagship project that has drawn attention from global players in waste and environmental management.

The project has attracted interest from countries such as Turkiye and several member states of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), who are keen to explore collaboration opportunities.

The Pomona plant, once complete, is expected to transform Zimbabwe’s waste management landscape by converting solid waste into energy while minimising environmental harm.

The project aligns with broader national goals to combat climate change and promote green energy. Our international engagements underscore the company’s growing reputation as a regional leader in sustainable waste management and innovation.
