Geo Pomona Waste Management Private Limited is exhibiting at the 114th Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS) which started yesterday until 31 August.
This is the second year we are participating at the ZAS after having made our maiden showcase in 2023. At the show last year, we scooped the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show’s Best Exhibitor in the Energy Sector Award.
This year you can find us at the Nelson Mandela Extension Hall Stand 5-8 where we are sharing how we have been implementing the life changing waste to energy project in Pomona; practically turning trash to treasure.
We are more than excited to welcome you to our stand to make you understand innovative waste management solutions.
There are also prizes to be won by those who will visit our stand.
This year’s exhibition is running under the theme, ‘Cultivating Prosperity. Growing Business. Innovating for Change. Nurturing our future.’
ZAS is expecting to attract over 200,000 visitors while providing a platform to cement business linkage.
Mozambique President Filipe Nyusi is doing the official opening of the 2024 Zimbabwe Agricultural Show.
This comes as we have been implementing our project in line with our goals and vision. We have constructed a sorting plant to separate recyclable from non-recyclables, and the recyclable waste will be sold to recycling companies while recyclables non-combustion materials will be incinerated in the waste to energy plant to generate 16-22 Megawatts of electricity.
We have created job opportunities, and also contribute towards the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in support of the broader industrialisation drive.
Even the SADC Heads of State who visited our site recently said they recognised with immense appreciation the incredible work we have done to protect the environment
