At Geo Pomona Waste Management, we believe that meaningful partnerships have the power to drive real change. We were honoured to host the inspiring queens of Miss Universe Zimbabwe, including the recently crowned Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Roseanna Hall, for an insightful visit to our state-of-the-art waste management facility.

The visit offered the queens a firsthand look at our commitment to environmental sustainability and innovative waste management solutions. As they toured our facility, they gained a deeper appreciation of the work we do every day to promote responsible waste management, protect the environment and contribute to a cleaner, healthier Zimbabwe.

Our Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman, Dr. Dilesh Nguwaya, warmly welcomed the delegation and applauded the queens for using their platforms to champion causes that matter. He underscored the vital role public figures can play in advancing sustainable development through advocacy, education and meaningful public engagement.

Today, beauty pageants extend far beyond the stage. They have become influential platforms for raising awareness, inspiring action and mobilising communities around important social and environmental issues. Environmental stewardship is one such cause that requires collective responsibility, and these young women have the reach and influence to encourage positive behavioural change and inspire climate-conscious communities.

Following the tour, we hosted our guests at our signature restaurant, The Sprout Restaurant, where they experienced the warmth of our hospitality while continuing conversations centred on sustainability, leadership and community impact.

Their visit served as a powerful reminder that collaboration is essential in building a sustainable future. By bringing together industry leaders, advocates and changemakers, we can amplify awareness, inspire action and create lasting impact.

At Geo Pomona Waste Management, we remain committed to transforming the waste management landscape through innovation, environmental responsibility and strategic partnerships. Together, we are demonstrating that when purpose meets influence, meaningful change is not only possible—it becomes inevitable.
