Our company, in partnership with the City of Harare, recently conducted a successful waste awareness campaign in Mbare as part of ongoing efforts to promote cleaner communities and environmental sustainability.
The outreach programme brought together residents, waste management teams and local authorities to engage on responsible waste disposal practices and improved sanitation in high-density suburbs.
Community members interacted directly with teams on the ground, sharing feedback, discussing sanitation challenges and learning more about proper waste disposal methods that help protect public health and the environment.
Many residents expressed appreciation for the work being done by Geo Pomona in improving waste management services and promoting cleaner living environments within their communities.
Residents were also encouraged to make use of skip bins, utilise waste collection services and adopt responsible waste disposal habits as part of collective efforts to maintain cleaner neighbourhoods.
The campaign highlighted the importance of community participation in building sustainable environmental solutions and improving urban sanitation standards across Harare.
“Our interaction with residents in Mbare was highly encouraging and reflects the importance of working closely with communities in promoting sustainable waste management practices,” the company said.
