People in Zimbabwe could soon benefit from improved waste management systems after Geo Pomona Waste Management moved to partner a major Ghanaian company during a high-level visit to West Africa.
Geo Pomona’s Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman, Dr Dilesh Nguwaya, is in Accra alongside President Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is on a State visit to Ghana.

During the visit, Geo Pomona is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Jospong Group of Companies, a leading waste management firm in Ghana.
The partnership is expected to strengthen cooperation in waste management, with a focus on improving refuse collection, recycling and sustainable environmental practices.Tl
The Jospong Group is one of Ghana’s largest and most diversified companies, with over 60 subsidiaries operating across Africa and Asia.
The company has built a strong reputation for providing practical solutions to waste management challenges in developing countries.

Officials say the deal could help Zimbabwe adopt modern systems and technologies already being used successfully in Ghana and other markets.
The visit also highlights growing ties between Zimbabwe and Ghana, particularly in areas of infrastructure development, environmental management and investment cooperation.
