Joining forces with our teams for a cleaner Mbare, government institutions and environmental stakeholders have stepped up collective action to restore cleanliness and dignity in Harare’s communities as part of our ongoing mandate to manage Harare’s waste services.
Together with the Ministry of Tourism, the Zimbabwe Prison and Correctional Services, and the Environmental Management Agency (EMA), we conducted a large-scale clean-up campaign in Mbare, reinforcing a shared commitment to a cleaner, healthier capital.

This Mbare initiative complements our wider citywide waste management operations, which are focused on strengthening refuse collection and rehabilitating Harare’s urban environment. Our teams continue to clear illegal dumpsites in high-density suburbs, removing accumulated waste that has long posed public health and environmental risks.
To further improve service delivery, we have deployed a new fleet of modern refuse collection trucks and specialised equipment, significantly boosting the city’s waste collection capacity. The expanded fleet is improving turnaround times, extending coverage, and supporting more consistent refuse collection across residential and commercial areas.

Through sustained clean-up campaigns, improved logistics and close collaboration with government agencies and environmental regulators, we remain committed to supporting a cleaner Mbare and a cleaner Harare — through sustained action and shared responsibility.
