Dr Dilesh Nguwaya, our Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman, says for the year 2025, we have managed to do door-to-door waste collection, and we have cleared more than 30, 000 tonnes from households.
“We have also cleared illegal dumpsites, which is more than 230 000 tonnes in Harare,” he said in a recent interview.
Dr Nguwaya said the company recruited a team of young engineers and students from local universities.
“Whatever you see at Geo Pomona is being done by local engineers. We are also empowering our local contractors. We also have more than 400 workers at our site.
“We are aligning with President Cde Dr ED Mnangagwa “Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo” (Zimbabwe will be built by its people). The vision of His Excellency will go far.”
Dr Nguwaya said the company’s future plans were to cover the 10 provinces in Zimbabwe, SADC region and Africa.
“We are putting Zimbabwe on the map as we are the leading waste management company in Southern Africa,” he added.
“Geo Pomona is a company which deals with waste management; we are protecting our environment, we are saying people should live in clean environs.”
