Our participation at the Second Africa Climate Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, gave us an excellent opportunity to highlight progress in converting waste into energy, and advancing climate-friendly innovations.
The company CEO and Executive Chairman, Dr Dilesh Nguwaya, led our delegation, which joined African governments, private sector leaders, and international partners in discussions focused on fast-tracking the continent’s green development agenda.

Dr Nguwaya said the Africa Climate Summit 2 offered an ideal platform to demonstrate Zimbabwe’s leadership in waste management, particularly as the company operates the largest waste sorting plant in Southern Africa.
“As the leading public-private-partnership waste management company in Zimbabwe, this summit enables us to build strategic partnerships, access new technologies and engage with global investors who share our vision for a green and resilient Africa,” Dr Nguwaya said.

Dr Nguwaya underscored the social impact of sustainable waste management, highlighting its potential to create jobs, build skills and uplift communities.
“Climate action is not just about reducing emissions — it’s about improving lives and encouraging collective responsibility,” he said.

Our participation at ACS2 reaffirms the country’s commitment to the Paris Agreement, the African Union’s Agenda 2063 and the broader continental effort to achieve climate-smart urban development.
