The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Eswatini, Honourable Russel Mmiso Dlamini has said his country is facing a daunting task of waste management, and his Government is keen to replicate the Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd project. 

Honourable Dlamini said this during a tour of our facility on Wednesday morning. 

He was accompanied by Eswatini’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Honourable Pholile Paulette Dlamini Shakantu, Minister of Skills Audit and Development Honourable Professor Paul Mavima and Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dr Dilesh Nguwaya.

The Eswatini delegation is keen to replicate the same project in their country to solve the waste management challenges.

Prime Minister Dlamini said: “We would like to appreciate the Government of Zimbabwe and the Geo Pomona Waste Management Private Limited for giving us this opportunity to visit the site today. 

“I am greatly impressed by what has been done here; as we came in we were impressed by the sporting facilities, and there was no odour. 

“We have been taken across various facilities at this project, and we are happy and we can only congratulate the Government of Zimbabwe and the Geo Pomona Waste Management Private Limited for this visionary concept. 

“Certainly, we came here because cities around the World have the same problem of waste, and there is need for innovative ways of managing waste and we also want this in the Kingdom of Eswatini.”
