Geo Pomona Waste Management Private Limited is now accepting hazardous waste at the Pomona site after we built landfills for proper waste disposal.
Our state-of-the-art landfills ensure safe disposal of hazardous waste as we strive to prevent groundwater, soil and air contamination.
This will also promote a good environment and protect human health as our landfills are designed to handle hazardous waste such as electronic waste, pesticides and chemicals.
We are taking the hazardous waste at our Pomona site for US$125 per tonne.
The Environmental Management Agency (EMA) recently licenced us to accept hazardous waste as we strive to create clean environments.
Our hazardous waste landfills were given the nod by EMA to accept hazardous waste materials to avoid contamination of air, groundwater and soil.
It is also advised that those who will be bringing liquid waste should make sure it is properly containerised.
Our primary goal is to adopt a “zero waste-to-landfill” approach, which aims to minimise the amount of waste sent to landfills.
By implementing this strategy, the company intends to significantly reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, thereby contributing to environmental sustainability.
The hazardous waste landfill is lined with clay, geomembrane and geotextile to prevent waste interaction with the environment.
We have also constructed a weighbridge system to weigh waste vehicles on arrival, record and verify load data and reweighs the vehicle once the load has been deposited to measure waste delivered to our site.
There are also two weighbridges connected to two traffic lanes, allowing us to serve multiple trucks at the same time.
Additionally, to accurately weigh waste, we have a data capturing system to record the customer’s details, type of waste brought in, vehicle registration number, customer’s address, area where waste was collected, time of waste arrival, and waste weight details.
