The waste water treatment plant on our site is being installed with European experts from Hydros Italy who are busy with the implementing various components of the facility.
Some of the equipment under construction are the storage tank, aeration tank, ultrafiltration module and osmosis double stadium.
The water treatment plant is meant to make sure that the discharge of the leachate is in compliance with the standards set by the Environment Management Agency (EMA).
Once complete, the water treatment plant will be producing purified water (98-99%) and concentrate (1-2%) which will be recycled in the landfill to increase biogas production.
But a visit to our site showed that our workers together with the Hydros Italy team are busy installing the modern water treatment system.
It is also essential to note that the leachate liquid which will be generated from waste will be collected in water ponds. These serve as deposits before undergoing treatment in the state-of-the-art waste water treatment Plant.
This critical process ensures that the water on-site meets stringent global standards for environmental safety.
The water treatment plant is a key component of our project at the Pomona site. Also, a sorting plant construction is currently underway as the modern waste management system takes shape.
