Zimbabwe and Ghana have taken a major step towards sustainable development following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd and Jospong Group of Companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement brings together two leading waste management firms in their respective countries and is expected to strengthen regional collaboration in environmental protection and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the partnership, the two organisations will work to improve recycling and safe waste disposal practices, share technology and expertise, and promote circular economy solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initiative is also set to create jobs and enhance local capacity-building in both Zimbabwe and Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The development comes as Zimbabwe\u2019s President, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, commended the rehabilitation of the Pomona dumpsite by Geo Pomona, led by its Executive Chairman and CEO, Dr Dilesh Nguwaya, describing it as a key milestone in modernising waste management systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Geo Pomona delegation is currently in Ghana as part of the President\u2019s visit, reinforcing high-level cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the engagement, the delegation toured the ACARP Compost Recycling Plant in Accra, where they observed advanced waste-to-resource technologies in action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit was attended by Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong and Dr Dilesh Nguwaya, alongside their respective teams, underscoring growing collaboration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
