Our company, Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd, is partnering with the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) to host the prestigious ISWA Regional Conference in Harare for the first time, positioning Zimbabwe at the forefront of Africa\u2019s sustainable waste management and circular economy agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The high-level conference will take place on 30 and 31 March 2026 at the Hyatt Regency, bringing together policymakers, environmental experts, industry leaders and innovators to explore practical solutions to modern waste management challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delegates are expected to travel from across Africa and beyond, creating a powerful platform for knowledge exchange, innovation and collaboration on sustainable waste management systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking ahead of the conference, Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd representative, Engineer Anesu Zingambe, said the partnership reflects our company\u2019s commitment to driving innovation and sustainable infrastructure in the waste management sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held under the theme \u201cEnhancing Sustainable Waste Management Practices and Circular Economy,\u201d the conference will focus on transforming waste into an economic opportunity while strengthening environmental protection efforts across the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISWA Coordinator for the conference, Sylvia Sanyanga, said the collaboration marks an important milestone in regional sustainability efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis conference will bring together global expertise and local experience to develop practical strategies that address Africa\u2019s growing waste management needs,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Environmental Management Agency (EMA) is also supporting the conference as part of broader efforts to strengthen environmental governance and promote responsible waste practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EMA representative, Amkela Sidange, emphasised the importance of partnerships in achieving lasting environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStrong collaboration between public institutions, private sector players and international organisations is key to building resilient and sustainable waste management systems,\u201d Sidange said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organisers have confirmed that the First Lady, Her Excellency, Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, who serves as Patron of the Environment, is expected to grace the occasion \u2014 a development anticipated to boost national awareness and community participation in sustainability initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference is expected to strengthen Zimbabwe\u2019s regional leadership role in environmental sustainability while showcasing our company\u2019s continued investment in modern, efficient and sustainable waste management solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
