Dr Dilesh Nguwaya, our Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman, says for the year 2025, we have managed to do door-to-door waste collection, and we have cleared more than 30, 000 tonnes from households.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have also cleared illegal dumpsites, which is more than 230 000 tonnes in Harare,\u201d he said in a recent interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Nguwaya said the company recruited a team of young engineers and students from local universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhatever you see at Geo Pomona is being done by local engineers. We are also empowering our local contractors. We also have more than 400 workers at our site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are aligning with President Cde Dr ED Mnangagwa \u201cNyika inovakwa nevene vayo\u201d (Zimbabwe will be built by its people). The vision of His Excellency will go far.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr Nguwaya said the company\u2019s future plans were to cover the 10 provinces in Zimbabwe, SADC region and Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are putting Zimbabwe on the map as we are the leading waste management company in Southern Africa,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cGeo Pomona is a company which deals with waste management; we are protecting our environment, we are saying people should live in clean environs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
