At the Agricultural Show in 2023, we scooped the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show\u2019s Best Exhibitor in the Energy Sector Award.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Come to our stand where we are sharing how we have been implementing the life changing waste to energy project in Pomona; practically turning trash to treasure.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/geopomona.co.zw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/540458555_122284275830067261_5100837397132193045_n-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3397\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>ZAS is happening at a time we have\u00a0just commissioned our sorting plant to separate recyclable from non-recyclables, and the recyclable waste will be sold to recycling companies while recyclables non-combustion materials will be incinerated in the waste to energy plant to generate 16-22 Megawatts of electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have also commissioned refused collection trucks which are doing daily waste removal in residential and business areas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/geopomona.co.zw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/536282850_122284276178067261_3544215781533574164_n-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3398\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In our few years in operation, we have created job opportunities and also contributed towards the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in support of the broader industrialisation drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The show kicked off in Harare on Tuesday with a record-breaking turnout of exhibitors and strong international participation.
