The Environmental Management Agency (EMA) has officially licenced us to accept hazardous waste at the site with immediate effect as we move towards promoting clean environments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are taking the hazardous waste at our Pomona site for US$125 per tonne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This follows the construction of hazardous waste landfills which have now been given a greenlight by EMA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The landfills are accepting hazardous waste materials to avoid contamination of groundwater and soil.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those who will be bringing liquid waste should ensure that it is properly containerised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The primary goal of the company is to adopt a \u201cZero waste-to-landfill\u201d approach, which aims to minimize the amount of waste sent to landfills. By implementing this strategy, the company intends to significantly reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, thereby contributing to environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have three new landfills for disposal of hazardous waste, and others for municipal solid waste and ASH from the waste to energy plant. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The hazardous waste landfill is lined with clay, geomembrane and geotextile to prevent waste interaction with the environment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To accurately measure waste delivered to our site, we have constructed a weighbridge\u202fsystem to weigh waste vehicles on arrival, record and verify load data and reweighs the vehicle once the load has been deposited. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In line with modern waste management systems, we have installed two weighbridges connected to two traffic lanes, allowing us to serve multiple trucks simultaneously.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to accurate weighing of waste, we have a data capturing system in place to record the customer\u2019s details, type of waste brought in, vehicle registration number, customer\u2019s address, area where waste was collected, time of waste arrival, and waste weight details.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
