{"id":2597,"date":"2024-02-28T06:58:34","date_gmt":"2024-02-28T04:58:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/geopomona.co.zw\/?p=2597"},"modified":"2024-02-28T06:58:34","modified_gmt":"2024-02-28T04:58:34","slug":"good-deeds-geo-pomona-rescues-brilliant-student","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/geopomona.co.zw\/?p=2597","title":{"rendered":"GOOD DEEDS: Geo Pomona rescues brilliant student"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Geo Pomona Waste Management Pvt Ltd has made donations to a Highfield High A-Level student by paying school fees, uniforms, and a laptop to ensure the girl child completes her studies next year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company\u2019s chief executive officer and executive chairman Mr Dilesh Nguwaya said this was part of the corporate social responsibility to assist the less privileged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking during the donation handover, Mr Nguwaya said: \u201cI met with the Harare Provincial Minister Charles Tavengwa and we agreed that we were going to help the student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe do a lot of corporate social responsibility and we will assist Catherine until she finishes her A-Level. It\u2019s our pleasure to ensure that the girl child goes to school.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr Nguwaya added: \u201cWe have also fixed Sawley Way Road and we painted the whole police station, we donate to the less privileged who come to us for assistance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/geopomona.co.zw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-02-27-at-10.50.37_dea831e9-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2599\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister Tavengwa said Geo Pomona was leading by example by doing good works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis a good gesture not just for this year but until next year; Catherine will receive help,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The student, Catherine Rutendo Chitengu said: \u201cMy words cannot describe my gratitude to Geo Pomona Waste Management but all I can say is that I will do my best to succeed in my studies. I just pray to God to bless Geo Pomona in finances and good health.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/geopomona.co.zw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2024-02-27-at-10.50.37_e446e523-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2600\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Catherine\u2019s mother Cecilia Mashanda was elated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She said she was impressed by the kind of generosity Catherine received from the company towards paying her child\u2019s school fees and uniforms until she completes A-Level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI never imagined we could get this kind of help. Her cries and needs have been met.
